HMS (North West)

Description:

HMS is a north-west based construction contractor that delivers wide ranging projects from large-scale construction and new-build developments to specialist contractor services and property refurbishments.

Historically, HMS would use manned guards on their projects to provide security but the cost of using in-person security was adversely impacting project budgets.

As a way of minimising costs, Nation proposed a CCTV solution using their in-house staff and began a trial service of the service at a new-build site in Frodsham. Upon realising the cost savings for HMS, they instructed Nation to roll the service out at further sites. Key early benefits included our round-the-clock notifications of security breaches. For example if CCTV caught someone on site out of scheduled hours, HMS was notified straight away and could investigate the scenario immediately. With other CCTV providers, HMS often had to wait until the next day for notification (e.g. if the site breach was at night).

In comparison to using manned guards, we saved the client approximately £1000 per week per site. As a result, HMS reduced its clients’ budgets and became more competitive with its tender applications.
